Assessment Stages

We operate a “three stage” inspection for an estimation of a full or part restoration which will help you get an idea of the costs involved to restore your vehicle.

Stage one

We can look at and assess your vehicle from an initial visit and give you a very general estimate of cost including labour and parts, the charge for this assessment is £72.50 (plus vat).

Stage two

We do a thorough inspection throughout without removing paint or parts and write up a more accurate estimate.

The charge for this is £72.50 per hour (plus vat). A standard inspection plus report would normally take two to three hours. Transport can also be arranged at an extra cost.

Stage three

This is what we call an “Invasive Inspection”, which involves stripping the vehicle down completely and removing any rust, filler and paint to ascertain what is required for the restoration in more detail. This will allow us to give you a more accurate estimate of cost. But please note this could possibly take away from the overall value of your vehicle at this point.

The cost for this is £580 (plus vat) which will count as part of the restoration costs if the decision is for us to go ahead and carry out the work required. Transport can also be arranged at an extra cost.

I must also make you aware that this is only an estimate. Until we begin the work and can fully assess what is required, it is not possible to provide an exact cost for the restoration. We will use our extensive knowledge and experience to give you a realistic worst-case estimate however, it is advisable to allow a buffer to accommodate any unforeseen costs or changes you may wish to make.
